عقل مند خاموش رہ کر جاہل سے بحث میں جیت جاتا ہے

When wisdom chooses silence,

 ignorance has already lost the debate.

(Raast)

Who but Abbas (A.S.) teaches loyalty its fullest meaning!

And when he enters the battlefield, where do the shadows find refuge?

(Raast)

 We fear that Allah is watching us,

 yet the true fear is being deprived of His merciful gaze.

 For when a person is abandoned by that mercy, 

he has already begun to fall into Hell.

 ہم اللہ کے دیکھنے سے ڈرتے ہیں،

 حالانکہ ڈرنے کی بات تو یہ ہے کہ کہیں انسان اللہ کی نظرِ رحمت سے محروم نہ ہو جائے۔ 

کیونکہ جسے اللہ اپنی رحمت کے لیے نظرانداز کر دے،

 وہ گویا جہنم میں گر چکا ہوتا ہے۔

دسترس میں موجود چیزوں کو و فدا کر دینا ہی اصل قربانی ہے 

انگور کھٹے ہے یہ کوئی قربانی نہیں ہے یہ تو اوسط درجے کا صبر ہے 

جس میں ہر ممکن کوشش کے بعد دل کو سمجھا لیا جاتا ہے

 Sacrificing the available things is the true sacrifice

“The grapes are sour” it’s not a sacrifice.

it’s only an average kind of patience where the heart

got convinced after every possible effort

جب تک دل میں محبت کا ایک بھی ذرہ موجود رہتا ہے، 

یہ کبھی بنجر نہیں ہوتا۔

As long as a spark of love exists in the heart,

it never becomes barren.

(Raast)

 مکافاتِ عمل کتنا عجیب ہے نا

میرا عمل ہی میرا انجام ہے

(راست)

 How strange karma is

my own deeds become my fate.

(Raast)

There are two types of deception.

 One is when someone else deceives you,

 and the other is when you deceive yourself! 

The one someone else gives you breaks the heart

but the one you give yourself,

 through it, pride is shattered into pieces.

 Words must have learned this art from humans:

to rearrange themselves just to create a new meaning.

 ایسے تو کبھی منزل نہیں ملتی 

ضمیر یا نفس میں سے کسی ایک کو تو مارنا پڑتا ہے

 You don’t reach the destination this way

either your conscience dies, or your ego must.
