Keep relationships that mirror the respect you give

In love, there is usually one lover and the other beloved.

 With this dynamic, the relationship can flourish beautifully. 

An even greater dynamic is when two people fall in love

 and both become lovers of each other. 

However, if both also become beloveds,

 love might endure, but there’s no guarantee 

that the relationship will survive.

 The Love of a Madman

Mad I am, love’s tongue unknown,  

A heart’s deep ache, to me unshown.  

With shards of reason in my core,  

What beats within, I can’t explore.  

Your scorn, your cold disdainful art,  

What do I know of a breaking heart?

This poetry is dedicated to a person whom society labels as "mad." Although he is unable to express or fully understand his emotions, he too has a heart that beats just like any other. Love, which is equal for all and knows no distinctions, touches him as well, leaving behind its mark in the form of pain. He cannot describe the depth of his suffering nor comprehend its boundaries, yet the pain of love remains within him as deeply as it does in anyone else’s heart.Even though he does not truly understand the meaning of rejection.  

The difference between the heart and the mind is simple:

The heart desires without reason,

While the mind always finds one.

The coldness of ages had seeped in his speech,  

A subtle hint only the wise could reach.  

In the night's dark veil, the letters were flame,  

For disgrace stood knocking, whispering his name.

Love is a conscious emotion of the heart,  

while devotion transcends both consciousness and the subconscious.  

It goes beyond physical existence;  

it is the bond between one soul and another.
